A global Japanese bank is currently recruiting a German Speaking VP to work in the Global Transaction Banking Department in their Frankfurt office.
The VP will be responsible for sales and business promotion activities with corporate customers in Continental European countries.
In this role a focus will be on origination of deals and enhancing their visibility, reputation, and market presence, while providing administration/middle function for transactions.
The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years’ experience in the Bank Guarantee business field and speak fluent German.

VP Main Responsibilities:
• Checking and preparing customer related deal instruction sheets for booking and issuing
• Preparation and issuance and/or amendment, extension, termination of guarantee
• Advising, negotiation over customized guarantee text, preparation verification, risk analysis, issuance and signing and/or amendment, extension, termination of guarantee
• Handling of tasks for improvement of guarantee operations / processes based on relevant professional understanding of process / operation flows
• Periodical coordination and execution of invoicing, fee calculation and reconciliation
• To collaborate with internal parties to (a) proactively propose marketing strategy in line with the RM departments’ business strategy / focus, (b) proactively share information on status and action plan on deal pipeline, and (c) ensure delivery of services and solutions to customers in line with their expectation in terms of quality and time, to manage the end-to-end process from marketing/ sourcing to actual execution/ delivery of our services
• To keep the line manager/Trade Finance Team Head (TH) informed about any kind of problems and resolve these problems with the assistance of the line manager/TH without any delay
• To assist the line manager/TH to establish the objectives for the Team, which support the objectives of the bank and to oversee the progress and accomplishment of these objectives
• Assistance for their customers in Continental Europe.
• Control of sensitive keys and important items regarding the daily working supply as back up of the TH

VP Ideal Candidate:
• Professional Banker, especially at least 7 year experience in the Bank Guarantee business field (Extensive experience in origination, structuring, documentation and arrangement of Bank Guarantee transaction through to the deal closing)
• Experience and knowledge with legal texts in German law (preferably English Law, French law)
• Business level of English and German / French (preferably)
• Bacheller degree of University Knowledge & Skills minimum required level
• Establishing strong trusty relationship with front office for building business
