An established Japanese logistics company is currently recruiting a Forwarding Sales Lead to work in their Frankfurt office.
In this role, you will be responsible for sales activities (90% hunting, 10% farming) in the forwarding sector in Germany.
The ideal candidate should have strong freight forwarding sales experience, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of international logistics operations.

Forwarding Sales Representative Main Responsibilities:
● Responsible for sales activities (90% hunting, 10% farming) in the forwarding sector in Germany
● Regional (but also national and global) responsibility for building and managing a mixed portfolio of companies requiring international freight forwarding solutions
● Collaboration with local sales organisations within the region
● Cooperation with all national and regional sales organisations
● Identification of new business opportunities, including additional (target) customers, new markets, growth areas, trends, products, and services
● Understanding and effectively responding to customer needs, preparing and planning how to meet customer requirements
● Preparation of customer contracts for national or strategically important customers
● Continuous education and training to increase market presence and expand knowledge base
● Actively contributing to the development and implementation of measures in the 'Freight Forwarding' area
● Collaboration with internal departments and external partners to meet and develop national, regional, and global standards for 'Freight Forwarding'
● Developing, organising, and managing regulatory compliance mechanisms and quality process controls
Forwarding Sales Representative Ideal Candidate:
● ≪Essential≫ +3 years’ experience in forwarding sales
● ≪Essential≫ Good knowledge of the logistics industry
● ≪Essential≫ Language skills: Business level fluency in both English and German
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
● Ability to identify customer needs and challenges
● Excellent networking, prospecting, and persuasion skills
● Strong strategic and logical thinking; excellent interpersonal and communication skills
● Problem-solving and decision-making; networking and alliance-building skills
● Willingness to travel nationally and internationally; global inter-cultural thinking
