Our client, based near Schiphol, is a specialist in the development and sale of Asian foods. As their business is expanding, they are currently looking for a Sales Executive in their international work environment. Business level English and either Japanese or Mandarin will be expected. A valid EU driver's license is required as the role involves visiting clients (restaurants and retail stores) across the Netherlands using a company car.
TYPE: Full-time role, initially 1 year contract (potential to become permanent)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30, Monday to Friday (30 minutes lunch break)
SALARY: 3,000 per month, depending on experience + holiday allowance, transportation fee, pension, 25 days annual leave, Product discount for employees
START: TBD
LOCATION: Near Schiphol, the Netherlands (Office-based)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and sell Asian food products to restaurants and retail stores across the Netherlands
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction
- Identify and approach new clients to expand the customer base within the Netherlands
- Provide product recommendations and customized solutions based on client needs
- Conduct regular client visits using a company car, ensuring a professional and approachable presence
- Assist in market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and support for clients
- Occasionally support sourcing and procurement tasks, with potential future involvement
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- A personable and reliable individual who enjoys interacting with people and building relationships and has a passion for foods
- Fluent in at least two of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, and English (fluency in all three is highly desirable)
- Sales experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive and diligent attitude is essential
- Holds a valid EU driver’s license and is comfortable traveling within the Netherlands for client visits
