A Japanese multinational trading company is currently recruiting a Czech Speaking Sales Engineer to work in their Prague office.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the Sales Department with tasks related to facilitating the company’s sales activity, supporting sales communication with customers and suppliers, preparing documents and reports, and managing customer and supplier relationships.

The ideal candidate should have strong sales communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, and a valid driving license

Sales Engineer Main Responsibilities:
Facilitate company’s sales activity by supporting sales in communication with customers, suppliers, and logistics
Prepare documents/reports respectively
Giving presentation and promotion, and selling metal and plastic products to existing and prospective customers mainly within Electronica and Automotive industry, and reporting to superiors and HQS
Being responsible for customer & supplier care including all related correspondence
Preparation of Request Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers and negotiation with suppliers
Evaluation of supplier quotes, including checking their production process and quality
Preparation of Quotation to customers and related follow-up
Visiting customers and suppliers, inside and outside of the Czech Republic, sometimes in Asia
Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints
Developing projects launched, including making PPAP and other required documents
Responding to customer requests such as environmental surveys and cost reductions
Preparation of Weekly/Monthly Sales Activity report including analysis of sales amount and gross profits
Preparation of yearly Sales Plan and revising Sales figures plan every 3 months
Setting annual, monthly, and weekly goals in cooperation with a superior employee
Supplier purchase orders approval
Negotiation with customers and suppliers in case of deadstock and/or negative profit items
Negotiation with forwarders about freight costs and with warehouses about costs
Stock taking
Responding to internal audits, annual audits, ISO audits, and customer audits
Responding to changes in EU laws and regulations
Improvement activities for sales and sales operations, including efficiency of SAP systems
Provision of all required assistance to Quality Engineers co-workers

Sales Engineer Ideal Candidate:
Business level fluency in English and Czech
Experience with metal parts, or in quality or sales in automotive, metal parts area would be highly advantageous
Negotiation skills
Customer relationship management
Analytical skills
Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
Familiarity with SAP systems would be advantageous
Business level fluency in English
