A global payment solutions company is currently recruiting a System Project Specialist to join their European operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing payment system implementation projects, supporting processing operations, and liaising with licensee partners and internal stakeholders across Europe.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in payment processing systems, SEPA infrastructure, and system implementation projects, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in both French and English is essential.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time (CDI)
SALARY: €45,000 - €55,000 gross per year
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (35 hours per week)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Paris 2 (Hybrid working, minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a local subject matter expert in payment processing technologies
• Manage system implementation and transaction processing projects with licensee partners
• Support onboarding and technical setup with processors, gateways, and payment service providers
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements
• Monitor and advise on industry standards impacting payments (e.g. SEPA, ISO 20022)
• Coordinate with internal departments and global headquarters on project delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders
• Support department managers and contribute to continuous operational improvement
• Support incident analysis and root-cause investigations related to payment processing systems, and coordinate remediation actions with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to the improvement of internal procedures, documentation, and operational guidelines to enhance efficiency and regulatory compliance
• Support testing, validation, and rollout of system changes, including coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation reviews
Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in payment systems within a processor, financial institution, or PSP
• Proven experience managing mid-to-large scale technical projects
• Strong knowledge of SEPA payment infrastructure and processing systems
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences
• Excellent organisational, planning, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
