An international business development consultancy seeks a Japanese-speaking Senior International Investment Promotion Specialist in Japan.

You will be responsible for representing the investment arms of foreign governments with the goal of designing and implementing the right strategy to attract investment from Japan.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in investment promotion, experience in finance, proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and English, and the ability to engage with potential investors.

Their office is a bilingual working environment located in the central of Tokyo.

LOCATION: Tokyo office (Hybrid)

Main Responsibilities:
● Represent the governmental clients
● Identify, contact, meet, and present to potential Japanese investors
● Drive investment discussions with relevant stakeholders
● Implement the FDI promotion process from initial lead generation to negotiation, and securing investment
● Provide interpretation and liaison between investment promotion agencies and Japanese organisations
● Write regular meeting notes and reports in English for the investment promotion agencies
● Plan and support missions for investment promotion agencies in Japan

Ideal Candidate:
● Minimum of 10 years' experience working in private banking, family office advisory, or wealth management
● Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Japan
● Full professional proficiency in spoken and written Japanese and English
● Understanding of the Japanese business environment and investment promotion process
● Business level fluency in both English and Japanese
● Experience in doing business with the Middle East is advantageous
