A Japanese trading company is currently recruiting a Automation / Intralogistics Project Manager to work in their Praha office.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing automation projects end-to-end from concept planning to supplier selection, system integration coordination, timeline control, and on-site implementation.
The ideal candidate should have +2 years of experience in project management of manufactured products.

Automation / Intralogistics Project Manager Main Responsibilities:
Project Management
● Lead automation & intralogistics projects from requirement definition to commissioning
● Manage timelines, budgets, technical specifications, and on-site progress
● Prepare feasibility studies and concept proposals for clients
Supplier / Technology Selection
● Evaluate and select AGV/AMR/AGF vendors
● Coordinate technical discussions with WMS / WCS / MES system integrators
● Compare supplier quotations and prepare evaluation reports
Technical Communication & Integration
● Facilitate communication between customers and suppliers (Japan/EU/China)
● Review mechanical, electrical, control, and software interfaces
● Check layout, routing, safety requirements, and system specifications
Customer & Stakeholder Management
● Work closely with automotive and manufacturing clients
● Conduct site surveys and identify automation opportunities
● Ensure smooth installation, test runs, and after-service coordination
Documentation & Reporting
● Prepare project documents, technical quotations, and progress reports
● Provide regular updates to headquarters
Business Travel
● Occasional travel within the Czech Republic and nearby EU countries
Automation / Intralogistics Project Manager Ideal Candidate:
● Native level Czech and business level English (minimum B2)
● +2 years of experience in project management of manufactured products
● Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ automation/ mechanical/ electrical/ intralogistics/ production engineering
● Strong communication and project coordination skills
● Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
Preferred
● Background in AGV/AMR/AGF, conveyors, AS/RS, or material handling equipment
● Experience in production engineering (automotive preferred)
● Experience with WMS/WCS/MES integrators
● Experience managing automation or factory equipment projects
