- Risk Management / Banking / 6-Month Contract -
A financial institution is currently recruiting a Senior Risk Controller to join its team in Frankfurt on a 6-month contract.
The role has been newly created to support the growing requirements of risk controlling within the banking sector. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and validation of risk models, risk calculations, reporting, and wider risk management activities.
The ideal candidate should have broad risk management knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of statistical and stochastic methods, together with good German and English communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
• Support projects involving the development, design, and implementation of risk models, including credit and market risk
• Support the validation of existing and new risk models
• Perform risk calculations using economic and normative approaches
• Prepare internal and external risk reporting and maintain methodology documentation
• Support wider risk management activities including risk strategy, risk inventory, and the assessment of operational risks
• Communicate with internal and external auditors and banking supervisory authorities
Ideal Candidate
• University degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Broad knowledge and experience in risk management
• Experience with risk quantification models from an economic or normative perspective is advantageous
• Knowledge of relevant regulations such as MaRisk or the ICAAP guidelines
• Strong analytical skills and good understanding of statistical and stochastic methods
• Good written and spoken German and English
• Confident using Microsoft Office
• Experience with VBA, SQL, and databases is advantageous
