A Japanese IT company is currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager at their Dusseldorf office. (Open to consider Remote work from another city in Germany)

You will be responsible for selling IT services including managed services, cloud services, IT support, system integration, application development, project management to customers in EMEA while developing new business accounts as well as managing relationships with existing customers and achieving target sales revenue and qualitative goals. This is a chance to join a team striving for extensive growth over the next 5 years with a focus on new business and once established, developing your own high-achieving team.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9.00-17.30 from Monday to Friday (Open to flexible work arrangements)
SALARY: up to €100K depending on experience
LOCATION: Dusseldorf, Germany (Remote work is available)

1. Sales Planning and Execution
➢ Identify sales opportunities
➢ Strong focus on new customers
➢ Create account plans and territory sales plan
➢ Qualify sales opportunities efficiently and provide an accurate forecast
➢ Close the deal as forecasted

2. Account Management
➢ Create and execute account plans
➢ Understand customer’s requirements and define the needs
➢ Create proposals and quotations in a timely manner
➢ Create good relationships with multiple contacts within the customer’s organisation as their account manager
➢ Understand contractual agreements and negotiate the terms and conditions
➢ Manage post sale customer relationship and to ensure customer satisfaction level is high
➢ Manage customer complaints and escalation processes
➢ Keep up with knowledge of the latest in the IT industry and suggests areas for possible improvement in products or services
➢ Maintain revenue and gross profit target on a monthly basis and commit to quarterly and annual sales goal

3. Stakeholders Management
➢ Manage and develop relationships not only with customers but also all other business stakeholders including all key personnel internally as well as business partners

4. Networking
➢ Join and contribute to various of social activities, seminars, and events to develop their network with external parties

5. Management Role
➢ Understand & plan the needs of the team
➢ Recruit team members
➢ Mentor and train junior staff

6. Duties to the Company
➢ Read, understand, and comply with all company policies and procedures
➢ Have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work
➢ Represent the company interests and enhance the goodwill of the company and its reputation for fair trading and ethical conduct
➢ Minimize security and quality incidents

➢ Minimum 5+ years of sales experience of IT products for corporate companies
➢ Knowledge of team management and development
➢ Excellent negotiation skills
➢ Successful working experience in sales and partner management
➢ Excellent presentation skills
➢ Ability to negotiate price and terms with the customers
➢ Strong oral and written communication skills both in English and German
➢ Knowledge of Japanese companies or related highly desired
➢ Ability to keep good relationships with various types of personnel at a good level
➢ Quick to learn
➢ Knowledge of the IT industry, products, and services, such as Cloud, managed service, ERP knowledge is preferable

➢ Japanese language or European language a plus
➢ Basic knowledge of corporate accounting and budget management
