A growing Japanese machinery company in the Netherlands is currently recruiting a Group Manager for Logistic Parts and Warehouse to work in their office in Almere.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, directing, and managing site operations to ensure consistent high standards are kept and maintained whilst overseeing completion of the relocation plan to their new larger warehouse.
Keeping high service quality and client satisfaction, profitable cost-efficient operations and upgrading the warehouse are also key factors for this role.
The Ideal candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of the operations and logistic field, ideally within the machinery industry or have an affinity for this area of business.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.

Group Manager for Logistic Parts and the Warehouse Main Responsibilities:
• Manage the logistics and operations including all processes, changes, and implementations of written processes according to the company policies, procedures, and other regulatory guidelines
• Maintain good business relationships with logistic service providers and other warehouse
service providers
• Oversee safety in accordance with the relevant Health and Safety, and Fire
regulations in the warehouse
• Periodic stocktaking activity and, report the result to the GM
• Hold good relationships internally with stakeholders for the department integration
• Set and report warehouse operating budgets for revenue and expenses
• Conduct monthly routine report to the GM about the efficiency, turnover, and KPI’s
• Analyse market trends to further develop scalable and strategic operations practices
• Study, Implement, and improve the IT system for efficiency and expanding productivity
• Negotiate and execute third party service agreements with the GM where necessary
• Lead and coordinate the warehouse relocation project. Including the interior, equipment,
contact person to the vendors, part of the construction project team
• Monitor the onsite operations to ensure that the warehouse operations staff executes
service agreements at, or above the client's standards
• Maximize profitability through superior client service, effective and prompt communications,
and follow-up on all pending matters with the client
• Monitor daily staffing schedules and adjust accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels
that support operational demands and business objectives, and cost management
• Monitor the invoicing processes
• Ensure stock integrity of all clients
• Manage, coach, and train staff members in order for their personal development
• Execute the performance assessment processes with your applicable staff

Group Manager for Logistic Parts and the Warehouse Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of logistics
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Logistics and a similar environment
• 10+ years of experience in leading your own team
• Dutch & English speaking, writing, and reading skills
• Flexible and able to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Excellent ability to lead your team toward your objectives
• Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department (purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses)
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create formal and attractive presentations
• Excellent Warehouse Management System skills
• Proficiency with computer tools (minimum MS Office, excel)
