A Japanese trading company in Dusseldorf is currently recruiting a Key Account Manager for their “Barrier” Packaging business (Resins and Films) in their Packaging and Functional Material team.
This position requires a candidate who has initial experience in both managing customers and business as well as developing new business opportunities.

TYPE: Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, Flex-Time system, 38.5 hours a week
SALARY: up to €60k depending on experience
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Dusseldorf, Germany (Hybrid - maximum 50% of your working hours will be allowed to work from home)

Key Account Manager RESPONSIBILITIES:
・ Managing sales to customers or customer portfolios with growing track record
・ Building and maintaining long term relationships with customers and suppliers at all levels
・ Proactively developing new business in the areas of responsibility
・ Initializing contacts with new customers and suppliers
・ Providing technical product information and promoting barrier materials to potential customers
・ Reporting effectively to management

Key Account Manager PRINCIPAL COMPETENCIES
・ At least 3 years' sales experience
・ Experience both in managing customers and business as well as developing new business opportunities
・ Substantial knowledge of Barrier Packaging products and able to demonstrate the commitment, ambition, and determination to succeed in the business
・ Experience in the barrier packaging industry to promote specialty materials in resins and films through technical approach to existing and potential customers
・ Business level English language skills
・ Strong German ability
・ Self-motivated, flexible, accurate
・ Able to work in a team with an international mindset
・ Willingness to travel
・ A varied and challenging job in an international company
・ Working in a team with motivated and experienced colleagues
