A Japanese automotive manufacturer in Stuttgart Germany is currently looking for a Junior Sales Engineer.
The Junior Sales Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of engineering activities between their European customers and global facilities. These activities must be thoroughly managed to ensure that the company’s mission regarding timely part development, production launch and delivery of products, and maximize sales & profit are achieved. All the while maintaining 100% customer satisfaction.
Close cooperation with the production plant, Global Sales Team at each location, HQ, and the Research & Development Team is required.
Native level of German and business level of English are needed for this role, and some understanding of Japanese will be advantageous.

Junior Sales Engineer Main Responsibilities:
• Obtain new business chance, support launch of new business, protect existing business by taking leadership role
• Leading communications between their global facilities, their managements and customers
• Part blueprint negotiations with customers
• Support to business forecasting & marketing
• Prototype management with customers

Junior Sales Engineer Ideal Candidate:
• Holds BSc in Engineering or 4 years of technical degree
• Minimum of 3 years working experience
• Relevant Engineering work experience in Manufacturing Industry is a plus
• Automotive background preferred
• Proficiency in verbal and written German and English are required
• Some understanding of Japanese will be advantageous
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in order to effectively communicate under various business circumstances on a wide variety of business matters
• Strong leadership and highly organized with excellent written and oral communications skills
• Decision making and quick action experience
• Strong MS Office computer skills
• Flexibility to work both in Germany and Hungary for a certain period of time depending on company needs
• Approximately 10-15% travel to local Europe customers and the company’s other locations
• Adaptability to Japanese corporate culture
• Willingness to be a part of management team in future
• Knowledge of automatic transmissions and dyno testing is a plus
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, ISO TS16949/APQP is a plus
