A Japanese international logistics company in Dusseldorf is seeking a Project Management & Customer Relations Specialist. You will work closely with the Managing Director to develop new business in Europe and manage existing projects with valued clients for their logistics service. The role requires some business trips in Europe.
TYPE: Full-time role, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 9:00 – 17:30 (lunch break: 1 hour), Monday to Friday
SALARY: €50-80k, depending on experience
START: April or May 2024
LOCATION: Dusseldorf, Germany (WFH: one or two days per week will be available depends on skill or project progress)
Project Management & Client Relations Specialist Main Responsibilities:
Project Management:
• Plan, execute, and oversee logistics projects from initiation to completion
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Client Relations duties:
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and requirements
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status, address any concerns, and gather feedback
• Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in logistics
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within project management and client relations functions
Project Management & Client Relations Specialist Ideal Candidate:
• Fluency in English and German
• Japanese language proficiency is advantageous
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a bonus
