A specialist in the development and sale of Asian food are expanding their business in Amstelveen. They are searching for a Food Safety Manager to join their international team. This is an exciting opportunity for those with experience in Food Safety.
Business trips within Europe and occasionally to Tokyo are required of this role.

TYPE:     Full-time role, initially 1 year contract (there is potential to become permanent)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30, Monday to Friday
SALARY: €70-90k Euro per annum, depending on experience (including 1 month bonus and holiday allowance)
START: ASAP (TBD)
LOCATION: Amstelveen, the Netherlands (After training, 1 day working from home is acceptable)
Benefit: transportation fee, pension, 25 days annual leave

Food Safety Manager Responsibilities:
- Direct report to CEO or CFO EMEA region
- Liaising with Japan HQ for Food Safety Policy
- Regulatory Compliance (Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, standards, and guideline)
- HACCP Implementation (Develop, implement, and maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans)
- Quality Assurance (Oversee quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the safety, integrity, and quality of food products)
- Audits and Inspections (Coordinate and facilitate internal audits in EMEA region)
- Communication and Collaboration (Serve as a liaison with internal stakeholders at business units)
- Food Safety Governance

Food Safety Manager Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance roles
- Business fluency in English is mandatory
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and best practices, including HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and relevant EU directives and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
- Some Dutch or other European language would be also advantageous
