A Japanese chemical manufacturer’s sales office located in Amstelveen, is looking for a Sales Assistant to support their order management & shipping between their factory and clients.
The Sales Assistant will join their newly established operation to expand their business mainly in the EMEA region.
The role will require liaising with clients across Europe in English.
TYPE: Contract, full-time (starts from 1 year contract, but aim is for long-term employment)
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:30 (working hours negotiable)
SALARY: €35-40k including the holiday allowance
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Amstelveen (working from home could be considered)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing the sales and purchase order
Keep track of the status of open orders and the shipping schedules
• Creating invoices
• Liaising with factories in other European country and Japan
• Counting stocks and making documents for negotiation
• Coordinating with logistics companies
• Customer support via email and telephone
• Other related tasks
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• 2-3 years’ experience as a Sales Assistant or Logistics Coordinator or other related roles
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and order handling skills in ERP system
• Other European languages are advantageous
• Japanese language or some understanding of Japanese business culture would be advantageous
• Good understanding and co-operation skills in a start-up office environment
