An international machinery manufacturer in Amstelveen is looking for QHSSE Manager to join their international team. This is an exciting opportunity for those with experience in a similar role as our client is expanding their business. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards in their manufacturing functions in UK and Europe (Germany, Italy, Finland, Poland and so on). Business trips within Europe are required of this role.
TYPE: Full-time role, initially 1 year contract to permanent
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-18:00 (1h lunch break), Monday to Friday
SALARY: up to €90k Euro per annum, depending on experience (including holiday allowance)
START: January 2025
LOCATION: Amstelveen, the Netherlands (after training, 2 days working from home is acceptable)

QHSSE Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, national, and international regulations
- Ensure all employees are trained and aware of QHSSE standards and procedures
- Conduct regular QHSSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation
- Lead investigations into QHSSE incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and audits
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential QHSSE risks
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
- Develop and deliver QHSSE training programs to ensure ongoing compliance and awareness
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance QHSSE performance
- Communicate QHSSE policies and procedures to all stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Liaising with a Japanese HQ
- Lead and support sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact
QHSSE Manager Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a QHSSE role in manufacturer, machinery, or similar industry
- Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a QHSSE role in manufacturer, machinery, or similar industry
- Business fluency in English is mandatory
- In-depth knowledge of QHSSE regulations and standards
- Proficient in QHSSE management software and tools
- Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
- Some Dutch or German language would be also advantageous
