A Japanese manufacturer based in Almere in the Netherlands, is currently recruiting a Technical Training Manager.
Your main responsibilities will be not only designing and delivering technical training programmes for the dealer network but also developing and implementing them.
The position is a key contributor to the strategic direction of the training, innovation, and courses development.
TYPE : Full-time 12-month contract to start, to become permanent
HOURS : 9:00-17:30 (Monday to Friday, 40h/week, basically office-based)
SALARY : EUR 5,000 to 6,500/month (depending on experience)
START : ASAP
LOCATION : Almere, The Netherlands (will be Lelystad from 2025)
Technical Training Manager RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for designing and delivering technical training programmes for the dealer network that align with our organization's goals and objective
- Develop and implement comprehensive technical training programmes for dealers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
- Develop, implement and maintain a training curriculum that covers a wide range of technical topics, tailored to the needs of different technical levels and job roles
- Coordinate and develop a team of technical support managers /trainers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality training delivery
- Responsible for all aspects of planning, leading, and organizing employee technical training programmes and supporting collateral
- Promote various training programmes throughout the organization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through assessments and feedback, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure training materials, facilities and skills are current and relevant
- Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and develop customized programmes to meet those needs
- Create technical documentation to diagnose known issues in order to share knowledge across the product support team
- Assist as needed with product support managers for dealers and customers
- Technical Training Manager QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 8 years' experience with heavy crawler excavators, engineering or service-related position regarding machinery
- At least 10 years of experience in technical training in a broad aspect of the ways of training with a strong preference for experience in the construction machinery industry
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic and mechatronics systems, electric and communication networks, diesel engine, after-treatment systems and service diagnosis tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Having a clear vision and strategy, result driven, and are willing and able to drive performance, improve revenue and build the business
- Ability to closely collaborate with various departments and relevant experts to develop effective training materials and deliver engaging training sessions
- Proficiency in using training software and tools, such as learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools
- Strong analytical skills in order to assess the level of experience of staff and identify areas where training should be expanded
- Ability to simplify technical or complex information and tasks into friendly, simple language
- Business level of English proficiency is a must. Other European language ability is a plus
