A well-known Japanese international trading company is currently recruiting a Junior Accountant for their Amsterdam office.
You will be responsible for managing bookings and handling booking-related administration tasks in accounting.
TYPE: Full-time, 1 year-fixed term contract. (Permanent contract possible after first year.)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30 Monday to Friday (including one hour lunch break)
SALARY: €3,500 – 4,000, DOE
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Amsterdam (3 days office, 2 days WFH)

French-speaking Junior Accountant Responsibility:
• Make journal entries by using the company’s booking system, including AP/AR and GL
• Assist the manager for various accounting tasks, such as monthly closing, quarterly consolidation, tax filing, and auditing
• Communicate with related departments / parties regarding booking information requests and confirmations
• Prepare payment data for invoices and personal reimbursements using the online banking system
• Maintain and update various finance and accounting folders and files, such as the invoice overview list, cash management, term loans, service agreements, and records of foreign exchange transactions
• Be engaged in the introduction and implementation of a new ERP system
• Perform administration tasks in accounting, such as filing booking and payment documents, monthly maintenance work in the booking system, controlling and registering invoices, and other administrative tasks as requested
French-speaking Junior Accountant Ideal Candidate:
• 2-5 years’ working experience
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, and bank remittance
• Strong sense of responsibility and urgency
• Meet strict deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
• Good SAP and Microsoft office skills
• Team player
• At least MBO/HBO level education
