A Japanese manufacturer in Botlek is seeking a HR Specialist to manage HR functions, including recruitment, training, and employee relations.
The role requires native or bilingual-level Dutch and business-level English proficiency.
TYPE: Contract, full-time (starts with 1 year, with the aim for long-term employment)
WORKING HOURS: 8:00 – 16:30 (30 minutes lunch break), 40h per week
SALARY: €75,000 - €80,000 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month bonus)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Botlek
HR Specialist Main Responsibilities:
• Assisting, supporting, and reporting to the Manager Human Resources.
• Assisting and supporting the Sustainability Specialist with reporting for CSRD and EU Taxonomy in HR-related fields.
• Writing internal and ISO procedures.
• Taking care of the operational day-to-day HR processes and procedures.
• Translating the parent company’s HR strategy into a suitable HR and Talent strategy for the Netherlands entity, addressing current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
• Developing the HR operating model for the NL entity, including hierarchical structure, reporting lines, job requirements, and capabilities with the Manager.
• Implementing onboarding programs and creating learning and development programs to provide employees with internal development opportunities.
• Drafting job descriptions and managing recruitment and onboarding efforts, including drafting and/or reviewing employment offers and employment agreements.
• Performing job evaluations and external benchmark reviews to offer competitive compensation packages, attract talent, and determine appropriate incentive schemes.
• Setting up a performance management system that drives the right performance culture, assisting employees with performance appraisals, and managing resulting compensation decisions such as raises or bonuses.
• Developing and managing the payroll process, providing necessary payroll support systems, and liaising with payroll processing companies.
• Managing other HR & GA-related IT systems and applications and establishing necessary connections between systems for efficiency.
HR Specialist Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• About 5 years of experience in human resources or related roles.
• Native or bilingual-level Dutch and business-level English proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch labour laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
