An established Japanese trading company in Amsterdam is currently looking for a Dutch speaking Interim HR Specialist to join them on Freelancer basis for 3-5 months. In this role, you would be supporting the current Office Manager in HR matters and ideally aiming to establish an HR handbook, covering their office of 20 people.
TYPE: Freelance for 3 months, possibility to extend until the end of 2026
WORKING HOURS: roughly 24 hours/week, negotiable
SALARY: up to €100 per hour
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Amsterdam (office-based role)
Interim HR Specialist Main Responsibilities:
1. Office stability and alignment
• Supporting a calm and structured working environment
• Ensuring clear communication and consistent HR follow-up
2. Day-to-day HR operations
• Routine HR support and process continuity
3. Coaching the Office Manager
• Supporting HR development as they finalise their HR studies
4. HR improvements
• SNL Employee Handbook
• Performance appraisal process
• Learning & development framework
• Other pending HR initiatives
Interim HR Specialist Ideal Candidate:
• Extensive experience in in-house HR or HR consulting/advisory
• Experience of creating employee handbooks
• Experience in working in an international company is a plus
• Fluency in English and business-level Dutch language
