A Japanese petroleum company is seeking a Business Development Manager who can lead their sales expansion in the EMEA region.
Previous proven experience within lubricants, grease, oil, or tribology is required.
TYPE: Permanent, full time
WORKING HOURS: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, core hours: 9:30-16:30
SALARY: €70,000 - €120,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus bonus
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Dusseldorf (1 day working from home is possible after successful completion of probationary period)
Business Development Manager Main Responsibilities:
• Single point of contact to the existing customer base for lubricants and greases
• Interface to the group companies (Japan, USA, China and so on) for global accounts, technical requirements, recommendations and support
• Expand the lubricants and greases business in Europe and achieve product approvals for their global organization
• Develop commercial proposals, contracts, and solutions for customer supply
• Work on sustainability and carbon emission improvement through product localization
• Customer account responsibility, including order forecast, orders placement, supply chain and payments.
• Working in a team of sales/business development, production planning, logistics and finance on target definition and accomplishment
Business Development Manager Ideal Candidate:
• University degree or similar ( science, engineering etc.)
• At least 5 years' experience in Sales, Business Development / Project Manager related in lubricants, grease, oil, or tribology industry
• Good knowledge of the lubricant and grease market and competitive situation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Long proven track record of expertise in account and/or project management in B2B industrial business
• Experience in the active customer relationship management and customer acquisition
• Highly motivated and self-reliant and willed for continuously learning
• Knowledge of other European languages are advantageous (Such as French, Spanish, Italian or Polish etc...)
